This coffee table was custom ordered to be 4' by 4' with a beach house theme colored in distressed white. We chose to make it entirely out of poplar to keep the table strong while still staying in budget. To distress the wood we first painted it entirely black, then white on top. After that we sanded it to distress the paint and give it a worn look. It's rare that projects in my shop are entirely painted but it was a great change of pace and we were very happy with the result.
